About DevToolkit
Built by developers, for developers.
DevToolkit was built by Shahzaib Khan, a software developer based in Malaysia, out of a simple frustration: every time he needed to format some JSON or decode a JWT during his daily workflow, he had to rely on ad-ridden websites that sent sensitive payloads to unknown backend servers.
The goal was straightforward: build a suite of browser-based developer tools that process everything locally, load instantly, and stay completely free.
Each tool is maintained as a practical reference as well as an interface. We document the underlying format or algorithm, show realistic examples, call out edge cases, and explain when a result should not be treated as security or semantic validation. That approach helps developers make informed decisions instead of merely copying an output.
Privacy First
We leverage modern browser APIs and WebAssembly to process your data locally. Zero server uploads.
Blazing Fast
No network round-trips means instant feedback as you type, validate, and format your code.
Clean Design
An interface designed to get out of your way. Minimal, dark-mode ready, and distraction-free.
Our Mission
DevToolkit currently provides eight free, browser-based tools: a JSON Formatter, JSON Validator, JWT Decoder, Base64 Converter, UUID Generator, Unix Timestamp Converter, Regex Tester, and URL Encoder. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — your data never leaves your device.
We are continuously expanding. Our goal is to become the most practical, single-destination utility suite for everyday developer tasks — from encoding and decoding to formatting and validating.
How DevToolkit Is Maintained
The project is reviewed and updated by Shahzaib Khan. Changes are tested against representative inputs before release, and guides are updated when browser behavior, security guidance, or common developer workflows change. Feedback about incorrect results, accessibility, or missing edge cases is welcome through the contact page.
Local processing applies to the data entered into the tools; the website may still load third-party services such as analytics or advertising. See the Privacy Policy for the distinction.
